Every word, a little piece of me

Dear Tejasvini,

Happy birthday. I know I was not there to say these words for seven years, and no letter can undo the time I wasn't there — but I needed you to know that I remember, and I'm sorry.

I'm sorry for every birthday I missed, every year I let distance or hesitation keep me quiet. You deserved someone who showed up, and I didn't.

But I'm here now, and I want you to know: the what we have means more to me than I could ever say. You are "Bigger Person" in the truest sense — generous, thoughtful, and impossibly kind even when the world doesn't ask you to be.

I hope this year brings you everything your eyes have been dreaming of, everything your heart has been quietly hoping for. You deserve a year as beautiful as you are and may this year brings you happiness that you deserve.
